Director of Research & Planning
Back in 1984, while he was interning at Stouffer’s, Jeff had little idea that he would spend a large part of the next 25 years working in the product development and innovation arena. Since then he has worked in global future product planning for Ford Motor Company, developed new food products for Bush Brothers, and provided innovation consulting to dozens of B2B and B2C companies.
A trained moderator and facilitator, Jeff is an experienced researcher who is comfortable navigating a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods. At Balance, Jeff conducts front–end opportunity assessments, consumer insight research, and product validation testing. His work is what helps Balance make sure the voice-of-the-customer is infused into every project. Jeff’s personal portfolio of clients include a variety of nationally known brands including the Cleveland Clinic, Nestle, Avery Dennison, Giant Eagle, EBSCO Publishing, and American Greetings, to name a few.
Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and an MBA in Marketing and Finance, both from Miami University in Ohio and is currently a board member and marketing chair for the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
“I enjoy product development work because it allows me to explore my interest in what makes people think and feel what they do. I have always been attracted to work that allows me to connect people’s attitudes and behaviors and understand what motivates them. With the pace at which the world is changing, I am assured of always doing work that is dynamic and challenging.”
When he’s not at the office, Jeff enjoys being outdoors running, hiking, fishing or taking photos.
